I’m just going to put this out there - November 12th ISIS bombed and killed a bunch of people in Lebanon and I didn’t see a single post on Tumblr or on Facebook or on Twitter about it. The very next day they do the same thing in Paris and it’s 90% of the posts that I see.

I’m not saying Paris shouldn’t be talked about I’m just saying it’s incredibly interesting what topics the media chooses to focus on and which it ignores. Just one day prior Lebanon was under attack. A few weeks before that it was massive bombings in Turkey that killed 95 people and wounded 200. Again did not get anywhere near the same type of media coverage.

It’s quite indicative of what kind of lives we as a society - and our every day media - consider to be of importance.
